Labels · Packaging buyer’s guide
Applying a label to a cold container is a different problem from cooling a package after labeling it. Record both the temperature during application and the conditions the finished product will encounter later.

The short answer
Application temperature and service temperature are different specifications. A product labeled while warm and cooled later is not the same application as a damp bottle coming directly from cold storage. Give the supplier the complete sequence.
What to review before approving production
Condensation, surface moisture, and short time before refrigeration can affect performance. Run a test that reflects the real packing sequence, including cleaning and handling. Specify the construction with the supplier rather than assuming any film label will adhere to a cold or damp surface.
Build a practical project brief
- Container temperature at labeling
- Surface moisture and cleaning process
- Time before cooling or distribution
- Adhesion check after the full storage cycle
