Mylar bags · Packaging buyer’s guide
Compare pouch formats using a filled sample and the space available at retail. The amount of product that fits depends on its bulk and behavior, not simply the weight printed on the front.

The short answer
A stand-up pouch uses a bottom construction that supports upright display when filled appropriately. A flat pouch has a different presentation and packing footprint. Compare both with the real fill volume, display plan, and filling process.
What to review before approving production
Review stability, display area, case packing, and consumer handling. Keep usable capacity distinct from outside bag dimensions. A format decision should also account for the filling equipment and the intended opening and reclosure features.
Build a practical project brief
- Representative product and fill volume
- Shelf-display and hanging requirements
- Filling equipment compatibility
- Usable dimensions and case arrangement
