Co-packers · Packaging buyer’s guide
A packaging delivery date should connect to the co-packer’s receiving process and scheduled production run. Arriving at a building is different from having the right components checked in and released for the line.

The short answer
Connect delivery to receiving and line release, not just arrival. Confirm the destination, appointment, identifiers, quantities, and inspection window. Any split delivery, storage, or special handling should be agreed as part of the actual job.
What to review before approving production
Confirm the receiving address, appointment requirements, pallet or carton identification, and contact before dispatch. Build the schedule backward from the production slot and allow for inspection. Any storage, split shipment, or delivery service must be agreed in the quote rather than assumed.
Build a practical project brief
- Receiving address and appointment rules
- Production slot and inspection window
- SKU and quantity identification
- Named receiving contact and shortage process
