Measure the labeling area, not just the bottle

Bottles with the same nominal capacity can have different shapes and printable areas. Identify the straight-sided section, shoulder transitions, seams, and any taper. Send an actual bottle or a dimensioned drawing. Decide whether the design is a wrap label, separate front and back labels, or another construction before finalizing the artwork.

Match the material to the product environment

Describe the bottle surface and the conditions during application, storage, shipping, and use. A dry glass bottle has different requirements from a container that encounters condensation or frequent handling. Discuss the material, adhesive, and printed surface together, then evaluate the proposed label on the intended bottle.

Keep the full product range organized

For multiple flavors, formulas, sizes, or brands, provide a version list with artwork filenames and quantities. Check that product names, barcodes, and color references correspond to the correct item. Record the approved dimensions and material specification so reorders have a clear starting point.

Proof the design at its actual size

Review small text, barcode placement, seams, and the relationship between front and back panels. A large screen preview can hide readability problems. Put a size reference on the real bottle and consider how the package will look on a shelf and in product photography.

Frequently asked questions

Can we match an existing bottle label?

Send the printed sample, artwork, and any material records. Explain which features are critical to the match.

Should we specify the bottle capacity?

Include it, but also provide dimensions or a sample. Capacity alone does not define the label area.

Can bottles and outer cartons be coordinated?

Provide both components and artwork so they can be reviewed together.
