Confirm the bag specification before designing
Start with the product, fill quantity, required usable space, and the bag format you need. Share a current pouch if you are matching an existing package. Outside dimensions alone may not describe the usable area, so ask the team to confirm the intended construction before finalizing the print files.
Use the correct production template
Request the dieline or artwork template for the proposed bag. Keep important information away from areas identified for seals, folds, closures, or other production features. Follow the supplied file requirements instead of copying measurements from a photograph of a finished pouch.
Organize the artwork by version
For several products, flavors, or sizes, pair every design with a quantity and filename. Identify the elements that remain consistent and the approved information that changes. Review the version list against the final proofs so similar designs are not accidentally exchanged.
Check the whole finished package
Review the front, back, and other visible surfaces as a set. Consider how the package looks filled and how the information reads at its actual size. Compare any label or carton used alongside the pouch using the same brand references. Discuss the proposed proofing process with the team before production approval.
