Folding cartons · Packaging buyer’s guide
Straight tuck and reverse tuck describe where the end flaps attach and how they close. They can look similar when erected, so inspect a structural sample before selecting the style for your artwork.

The short answer
Straight tuck ends extend from the same main panel; reverse tuck ends extend from opposing panels. That changes the dieline and the visible closure arrangement. Compare the actual layout and packing process before assigning a cost or presentation advantage.
What to review before approving production
Compare the visible panel edges, packing direction, and fit on your line. Have the converter evaluate the actual dieline and sheet layout when comparing cost. A carton style name alone is not enough to promise a particular price saving or machine speed.
